Byron S. Adams was founded in 1872 by its namesake. Originally family owned and operated, the company has gone through a series of owners, both public and private. In 1984 Byron S. Adams was acquired by William R. Pierangeli, who has taken the company back to its roots. It is again a family-owned and operated business. At present, Mr. Pierangeli’s wife and son work in the business, and he is thinking of employing his two greyhounds, Gracie and Peaches, as the official company mascot.
